Q:  Why is having an outside accountant or bookkeeper important?

A:  Generally speaking, having a third party reviewing your daily records, keeping tabs on your sales, payables, receivables and inventory gives bankers and government agencies a stronger trust in the reliability of your financial statements.

Q:  Can you do our tax return too?

A:  99% of all our bookeeping clients also have us do their business and personal tax returns.  We handle S Corps, C Corps, LLCs, Partnerships, Sole Proprietorships and Non-Profits.  What many bookkeeping services often overlook is the tax implication of your daily activities and the often-times disasterous results of prior period adjustments on keeping your prior year tax information unaltered.  We protect you by ensuring that year-by-year the information in your bookkeeping system remains consistent with your tax returns.

Q: I have QuickBooks, but it wasn’t set up right.  Can you help me?

A: As Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisors we can analyze your bookkeeping situation and implement the needed corrections.  We can also pass along our discount on new programs and upgrades.  Once your bookkeeping system meets your needs, we can train you or your staff to manage the day to day activities and review the work weekly or monthly to ensure its accuracy.

Q:  My business is in Kentucky, how can you help me without it costing me a fortune in travel?

A:  First we will become acquainted over the phone, by email or by instant messaging.  Once we establish your needs, we would have you mail or fax your source documents (bank statements, sales printouts, prior year tax returns, etc).  If you use QuickBooks, we will set an appointment to log on remotely and review your situation.  Then we are ready to do input, reconcile bank statements and print your financial statements – all done at your site and printed on your printer.

Q:  How do I sign up?

A:  Send us your email address or give us a call.  We will ask you about the type of business and bookkeeping system you have, what type of business entity you operate under (sole proprietorship, corporation, partnership), and other questions that will give us an idea of how we can best help you.  Depending on your location, we may meet in person and tour your business and your office.  Together we decide how much or how little assistance you will need from us.  There is no long-term contract, just an agreement for you to provide information and for us to provide excellent service.

Q:  How does remote access work?

A:  There are two ways for us to access your QuickBooks remotely.  Either you grant us one-time permission to access your program, or we set your computer up to allow us access while you are away.  In both cases, you can choose to see what we are doing and all reports, checks and financial statements print on your printer.

Q:  I am not happy with my payroll service and would like to have it in-house.  Is there a way to have the control I want without the hassle of taking on all that responsibility myself?

A:  Yes!  We are very experienced in moving payroll from other systems into QuickBooks.  And once we set it up for you, we can process your payroll, payroll tax deposits and payroll tax returns for you, either remotely or 'on-site’.  You can print reports and add employees, look up any information you may need, or leave it all to us.

Q:  What about W-2s and other end of year filings?  Can you do that remotely too?

A:  Anything we can do for you on-site we can also do remotely.  There are a few forms we may need to have you mail or fax to us.

Q:  What if I just want to you come out to my office?

A:  We really enjoy seeing clients in their place of business.  It is our preferred way of helping them, but we offer mail-in and remote access for those who just can’t have it any other way.
